For beginners
Starting the gym? Keep your tracking simple.
You don't need to understand every fitness metric on day one. The first goal is to create a repeatable record of what you trained so you have something concrete to improve.
Start with four things
- Exercise: what movement you performed.
- Weight: how much resistance you used when relevant.
- Reps: how many repetitions you completed.
- Sets: how many rounds of that exercise you performed.
Build a history before chasing perfection
Early on, consistency is more useful than creating the perfect tracking system. Once several workouts are recorded, you can compare sessions and make gradual changes.
Why ProxyFit can be useful for beginners
ProxyFit combines ordinary workout tracking with character progression. That extra feedback can make logging feel less like paperwork: finishing workouts and improving performance contributes to something you can see develop over time.
Important: ProxyFit is a fitness tracking tool, not medical care or a replacement for professional instruction. Exercise within your ability and prioritize safe form.
